How to look super cool, beautiful, stylish and land the perfect date guaranteed.
Many a good book read, and a sorrow cried, over the complicated language of love,
Kahlil Gibran sums up in one quote all that makes love complicated; “Between what is said and not meant, and what is meant and not said, most of love is lost”.
With February hosting Valentine’s Day, (yes, I know most of the cynics say it’s a day made up to spend ridiculous amount with magnanimous gestures and overpriced flowers), but for the indoctrinated amongst us, it may be a little less “corporate” and just that more exciting.
It is the small things that bring the most pleasure in life, the thoughtful gestures. It can be as simple as a fleeting smile, a flattering compliment or opening the car door. After all, manners do maketh the man.
So what does it exactly take to make the perfect date? Well, many moons ago I owned a restaurant and the biggest gripe the staff and I had was when a couple came into the restaurant and stared at their food, phones, other couple’s better halves and us to avoid speaking to each other for the entire evening, bar a few grunts when one of us went over to check on them.
So, it can safely be said DO NOT GO OUT IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY TO EACHOTHER. The waiting staff will judge you and make comments in the kitchen as to how good looking your wife is – and are you crazy not to be adorning her with oozing compliments?
Secondly, if you give flowers suddenly out of the blue, your either extremely guilty or its Valentine’s Day. Really, we should be appreciating our better halves more than on one day of the year.
Then there is the big question…a night out or a night in. For me, a night in is more favoured. If you are going to go with this option, stay well away from the alphabetti spaghetti. Put a little effort in, after all you are hosting the most important person in your life.
For those who opt for a night on the tiles, well good luck and hopefully you have already booked, because Heaven forbid your date is very excited at the prospect of a glamorous evening out and you manage to scrape a last-minute table near the toilets.
But in all honesty it does not matter if you stay in or go out, whether you have got oodles of cash to spend or you don’t have a butter bean to your name. It comes down to the moment, the experience, the atmosphere. If you spend the evening sitting in the garden looking upwards at the stratosphere nursing a good glass of wine and you are truly happy in one another’s company that is all that counts. No amount of money can buy that moment.
However, for those with a spontaneous burning desire to live adventurous and at the same time be a trend setter and land the perfect date, this Peugeot scooter bike will absolutely guarantee to not only make sure you have the coolest ride in town it will in fact also make you even more attractive to the opposite sex, whilst making you look thinner, tanned and richer all at the same time.
It can even be said that this scooter bike will get you a bit hot and steamy with all the effort you will be putting in while pedalling really fast before the little 49cc engine gets you going and then your hair will blow back and it will feel like you are driving down the Avenue des Champs Elysées on your way to a classy date at Le Cinq*
Whilst you are envisaging yourself riding through the charming Parisian streets, you may, in reality, find yourself skirting the yellow lines of Beyers Naude dodging a few pot holes and we have it on good authority that you may even get sold a Peugeot licence disk holder at the traffic lights, also the thinner, tanned and richer parts may vary.
